| Who we are |
The Chamber was originally founded in 1998 as the
Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of North Carolina.
In 2002, recognizing an increasing presence of Swedish
business in South Carolina, the name was changed to
Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas,
Inc.

The Swedish Government has closed the Consulate General in New York as of January 4, 2010 and has opened an Honorary Consulate General, which will provide certain services to Swedish citizens and conduct commercial, cultural and public affairs. Please visit www.swedennewyork or www.swedenabroad.com for further information about opening hours and services.
Passport application procedures have changed to increase the security of travel documents.
All passport applicants at the Embassy of Sweden in Washington must be digitally photographed on site at the time of the application.
Applications may no longer be submitted at the honorary consulates in the U.S. The handling and application procedure for provisional or emergency passports remains unchanged. They will be issued in the same way as before. The documents affected by the new procedure are regular passports, extra passports, national identity cards. |
