Who we are

The Chamber was originally founded in 1998 as the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of North Carolina.
      In 2002, recognizing an increasing presence of Swedish business in South Carolina, the name was changed to Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas, Inc.

400 Swedish and U.S. business leaders gathered

400 Swedish and U.S. business leaders gathered for SACC-USA’s Entrepreneurial Days in San Diego; Los Angeles; and Washington
   April 13, 2008, Alexandria, VA. Sustainable Energy, Wireless/Telecom and Life Sciences were some of the industries that were in focus at the first Swedish-American Entrepreneurial Days (Edays) of 2008. The Edays are organized by the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce of the United States, Inc. (SACC-USA) and its 19 regional chambers located across the U.S. The first 2008 Edays event was held in partnership with SACC San Diego April 7–9 and was preceded by a program at the House of Sweden in Washington DC April 3–4 discussing US business opportunities in renewable energy for Swedish companies and followed by a focus on the Media & Entertainment industry in Los Angeles. Volvo IT, the official IT supplier for the 2008-09 race.

Volvo IT has been appointed as the official IT supplier for the 2008-09 race.
     
It will be the second consecutive race that Volvo IT has linked up with the prestigious event having provided IT solutions in 2005-06.
      Under the terms of the partnership, Volvo IT will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the PC environment for race officials and the world’s media at the 10 port stopovers and at Volvo Ocean Race headquarters in the UK. will have to apply in person at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, DC or at the Consulates General in New York or Los Angeles. You can of course also apply if/when you visit Sweden.
