Transport (US), Inc.
DFDS Transport (US), Inc. was established in 1980 as Dan Transport
Corporation and is one of the premier forwarders in the USA.
In spring of 1999 Dan Transport Corporation merged with DFDS
Transport and formed DFDS Dan Transport Corporation. Subsequently,
in fall of 2000 DFDS and DSV Samson merged forming DFDS Transport
(US), Inc. DFDS Transport (US), Inc., is part of the logistics
and transport group of DSV A/S, forming the second largest
forwarding group in the Scan/Baltic region. Read more
DSV was formed in 1976 and DFDS was established in 1866.
Together, the new transport group has a combined turnover
of DKK 18 Billion and over 10,000 forwarding specialists in
Scandinavia, Europe, The Far East and The United States. DFDS
Transport (US), Inc., maintains the status of both a U.S.
licensed Freight Forwarder and a bonded Non Vessel Operating
Common Carrier. Today there are 16 DFDS Transport offices
strategically situated at major gateways throughout the United
States.
